- Salt and pepper the tri-tip beef. Cut the beef into 6 equal pieces and place in a casserole. Scatter the sliced onions and poblano pepper on top of the beef. Pour on Elderberry Coffee Barbecue sauce, saving back about 3/4 cup of the sauce for serving at meal time. Cover tightly. Bake at 400° for 2 hours. Remove the beef from the sauce to cool. Shred the beef and return it to the sauce. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
