These Elderberries Cream Cheese Brownies are moist, chewy, and even better the next day! A nice blend of sweet and tart, these brownies are a perfect dessert at any time of the day and year.  Be sure to use high quality, unsweetened baking chocolate and full-fat cream cheese. You and your family will absolutely love these treats!

    • ½ cup butter
    • 4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 tablespoons Elderflower Syrup
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 cup flour
    • ½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup Elderberry Jam
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Lightly grease a 13x9 pan. In a 3 quart saucepan, combine the butter and chocolate. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Then, stir in sugar and liqueur. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients and stir until well blended. Spread batter evenly in pan.
  3. In small bowl, beat together filling ingredients (do not include the jam). Beat at medium speed until smooth, and pour over batter. Drop elderberry jam by tablespoon onto filling ( 8 to 10 dollops). Using a knife, swirl filling and jam through batter to make a marble effect. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes- until toothpick comes out clean. Allow the Elderberry Cream Cheese Brownies to cool completely before cutting. These brownies go great with a large glass of milk, cup of your favorite tea, or coffee!
