Tea With Elderberry Jam

Tea With Elderberry Jam

Elderberries are traditionally grown in Europe, and then we started growing them here in the states (over one hundred acres). Another European tradition is tea with jam. Ever heard of it?

In Russia, it’s traditionally common to sweeten your black tea with sugar, lemon, honey, and JAM. In Japan, the term “Russian tea” refers to black tea sweetened with jam.

Typically, the tea is sweetened with strawberry jam, but we tried it with our Elderberry Jam.

The Elderberry Jam adds a natural, light, sweetness that’s not too overpowering. Plus, it only has 9 grams of sugar and 45 calories a serving. Whoo-hoo!

Plus, tea with jam is perfect to coat a sore throat during cold & flu season.

Go for an “all elder” option by using our elderflower to brew an elderflower tea and sweeten it with elderberry jam! Yum!

Ingredients:

Hot Tea

1 TBSP of Norm’s Farms Elderberry Jam

Instructions:

Mix a tablespoon of Elderberry Jam into a steaming hot cup of tea. Stir well, and enjoy!
