    Natural Remedies for your Summer Road Trip

    As summer approaches, many Americans are eager to embark on road trips. To ensure a healthy journey, there are some natural remedies for common travel ailments.

    Four Natural Ways to Improve Your Summer Road Trip

    1. Pain Relief with Turmeric: Turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties can help alleviate pain, comparable to ibuprofen for knee osteoarthritis. It's advisable to carry it during hikes. 


    2. Natural Heartburn Relief: DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated licorice) can soothe heartburn by increasing throat mucous coating and is available in chewable tablets.  (Why deglycyrrhizinated? Glycyrrhizin is a compound found in licorice that can cause side effects such as water retention, high blood pressure, and low potassium levels. So you can choose DGL licorice and play it safe.)


    3. Stay Hydrated to Combat Fatigue: Dehydration can lead to fatigue and other symptoms. It's recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water daily while traveling.
