Homemade Elderberry Cough Drops by Tasty Ever After
We love working with food bloggers to help us spread the good word about Elderberry. Every now and then we are approached by a true artist! Karrie from Tasty Ever After has been an adventurous foodie all of her life. A recent transplant from southern Florida to southern New Hampshire, Karrie got her first taste of winter (3 feet of snow in one night!) and the lingering colds that often accompany them this time of year.
Karrie was referred to Norm’s Farms by Katie at A Fork’s Tale (Katie is the brilliance behind the Cheddar Pecan Cheese Ring with Elderberry Jelly), and our package of products arrived when Karrie was in the middle of one of those colds that go on for weeks.
Perhaps feeling crummy and having some immune system building elderberry to work with gets the inspirational credit, we are not certain, never the less we were thrilled when Karrie turned our Elderberry Extract into fantastic Homemade Elderberry Cough Drops!
I whipped up some of Karrie’s Homemade Elderberry Cough Drops for my upcoming mini-vacation with the Food Fairies; we are headed to New Orleans for a 5 day foodie retreat. These cough drops are a super easy alternative to liquid and I won’t face any issues carrying cough drops through the airport or checking them on board my flight.
