This Elderflower Sour is cold, refreshing, great for an evening garden party and has summer written all over it! In order to make this recipe you will first need to brew up a batch of a Elderflower Syrup. Keep your Elderflower Syrup handy in the fridge, because if you are a big fan of “sour” cocktails, this easy cocktail is one you’ll want to have over and over again.
Making an Elderflower Sour
We like picking an extra long sprig of mint, stripping off the bottom sets of leaves and using it as a stirrer! Alternatively, feel free to garnish with a slice of lemon, and try adding a few blueberries to your cocktail for color.
2 ounces gin
2 ounces Elderflower Syrup
1 ounce lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
