The Food Fairy created their Elderberry Glazed Brussel Sprouts for one of their many Personal Chef clients who was looking for a creative way to add our immunity boosting elderberry to their diet. These sprouts are delicious!
Elderberry Glazed Brussels Sprouts
1 lb Brussels sprouts, medium, stem trimmed
1/2 large onion, cut a bit smaller than sprouts
1-1/2 to 2 TBLSP finely chopped fresh sage
2 TBLSP melted coconut oil
3 TBLSP Norms Farms Elderberry Wellness Syrup
1 TBLSP Balsalmic Vinegar
1-1/2 tsp Maldon or sea salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Preheat oven to convection roast 425 degrees or non convection 450.
Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil and spray the foil.
In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. Place the brussels sprout mix in a single layer on prepared pan. Bake on the top shelf in the preheated oven for about 18 minutes or until lightly charred and crisp tender.
