Norm's Farms Elderberry Festival 2014

Norm’s Farms Elderberry Festival 2014

After months of planning and anticipation, the Norm’s Farms Elderberry Festival 2014 finally happened on August 23. We can’t believe that it is over already…wish we could bottle the great community spirit that makes an amazing event like this happen!  By all accounts it was a smashing success.  This annual festival of ours is our way of giving back to our local community which continues to help us so much with Norm’s Farms.   I’m happy to report that this Party with a Purpose was a whole lot of fun!

We owe a huge thank you to DJ Aurora at 103.5 WCOM in Carrboro, North Carolina for the many great radio shows she did publicizing our little festival prior to and on the day of the event.   DJ Dawn invited Elderberry Festival musicians and volunteers onto her radio show for some live music and fun elderberry talk.  Thank you DJ Aurora!

Great Food at the Elderberry Festival

We had some great vendors this year in our Vendor Village!  Little Dippers created 3 amazing Italian Ices featuring Norm’s Farms Elderberry.  My favorite was the “Ruby Red”  featuring Cranberry, Cherry and Elderberry…totally yummy! Bear Creek Brews had an incredible Elderberry Beer, and Full Steam Brewery made and donated Elderflower Beer to the event, too.Little DippersBear Creek Brews

Nothing beats an Elderberry Festival Volunteer
